Quran Memorization, Interpretation Contest Opens in Mali

IQNA – A competition on memorization and interpretation of the Holy Quran began in Bamako, the capital of Mali on Friday.

The country’s association of Quran memorization center has organized the event in cooperation with the Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, according to Al-Tawasul website.

A total of 100 individuals are competing in two sections of the competition for men and women.

Memorization of the entire Quran together with interpretation of the verses, memorization of the entire Quran, memorization of half of Quran and memorization of one-fourths of the Quran are the categories of the contest.

It has been organized with the aim of serving the book of God, promoting the memorization and interpretation of the Quran and encouraging memorizers to enhance this Quranic skills.
